This site is funded and hosted by the Kappa Omicron Nu Leadership Academy. National and international associations within the human sciences are invited to give their blessing to this initiative and will not be expected to financially support the Archive. A letter to the address below will authorize a partnership in support of the conceptual framework and mission.

The Human Sciences Working Papers Archive is designed to facilitate communication across the human sciences, to stimulate comment, and to make ideas quickly available. Papers are all intended for eventual publication in refereed journals or collected volumes. The Human Sciences Working Papers Archive:

  • Establishes minimum standards for working papers;
  • Provides a forum for the review and recognition of working papers;
  • Provides resources for teaching and learning at the pre-college, undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education levels;
  • Provides resources for practitioners and the public that meet minimal standards (see Submit a Paper);
  • Disseminates ideas and research in a timely manner; and
  • Provides a framework for facilitating the work of people in different settings.

The papers will not undergo a peer-review process, although the Editor (or a designee) will review for technical mastery, logical organization, and appropriate documentation. The submission guidelines must be met. These minimal criteria are required to establish credibility.

Anyone is welcome to browse the archives and download papers that are of interest for their own personal use. Downloading papers for any other activity, including reposting to other electronic bulletin boards or archives, is prohibited. See the Copyright & Disclaimer link for a discussion of the ethical issues.

Feedback to authors is encouraged in the spirit of constructive feedback and encouragement. As one of the major objectives of this Archive, participation by the readership is required. Direct feedback is facilitated by the contact information posted with each paper.

Hard copies are not available. To interface with the site and its contents, viewers will need a version 4+ browser.
