SAVE THE DATE! Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society: Call to Conclave, 2017
The 2017 KON Conclave will be held this year at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore's Henson Center from Friday, July 21 through Sunday, July 23.
We will begin with a welcome reception Friday night, where we will reaffirm our commitment to Kappa Omicron Nu, to our fields, to our communities, and to each other.
On Saturday, we provide leadership and service in the community. As we work together to make a lasting difference to those in need, we will reflect and learn about each other so we can cultivate our leadership strengths in ways that will improve the world around us in the years to come.
Saturday evening will be devoted to our Assembly of Delegates, chapter recognitions, student board nominee presentations, and strengthening the bonds between our chapters, our members, and the national organization for the betterment of all.
On Sunday, we will conclude with idea roundtables and undergraduate research presentations before we elect our new student board members and confer awards for service; then we'll send you back to your chapters refreshed, revitalized, and ready to lead, learn, grow, and serve for a brand new year!
Each collegiate and alumni chapter is eligible for one official voting delegate to Conclave. National Kappa Omicron Nu pays the registration fee for one delegate. Your chapter needs to institute its own procedures to identify the official delegate, but the usual selection would be the 2016-17 chapter president or another officer. Any number of chapter members may attend Conclave, but only the official delegate votes for the chapter. Chapters are encouraged to support official delegate with travel reimbursement.
Students: $125 per person includes lodging in double occupancy dorm room, all meals on site, and a souvenir KON gift.
Registration will be reimbursed for one official delegate
and for any students presenting research.
Advisers: $200 per person includes lodging in double occupancy hotel room, all meals on site, and a souvenir KON gift.
16 advisers are eligible to receive matching
funds of $250 to offset chapter travel costs.
Our thanks to Kappa Delta Upsilon chapter at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore
for hosting the 2017 Conclave, enabling us to keep the cost for attending so low!
