This issue of Kappa Omicron Nu FORUM is a work in progress. The essays share the thoughtfulness of the authors in reflecting on their work with students and families, and we are anxious to learn of other applications of Reflective Human Action. Additional manuscripts will be reviewed for possible publication. See the Introduction for further information about this theme.

The measure of an organization is judged by the outcomes of its mission, not by the merits of its rhetoric. Despite the importance of producing theories, educational material, and educational workshops, it is the real work of professionals that provides the measure of Kappa Omicron Nu efforts to accomplish the mission of empowered leaders

We are indebted to Katia, Connie, and Deborah for their models of Reflective Human Action in the important domain of diverse families. We look forward to further demonstrations of reflective human action.
